HTML Structure

Let's first learn how the content is defined in an HTML document. The content is defined in an HTML element. An element is defined with a tag that starts with < (less than sign) and ends with > (greater than sign).

For instance, if you want to write a paragraph you will write it after <p> and in the end, you going to write </p> defining the end of a paragraph like below:

<p>Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.</p>

But not all HTML tags require ending tags like </p>. For example, an img tag does not require an ending tag.
